Our Firm

Soon after the end of the civil war in 2002, the Angolan government has realized the potential of executing the launch of the BVDA (The Angolan Stock exchange - Bolsa de Valores e Derivativos de Angola) as a preliminary step for the facilitation of a long term free economy in Angola. With the understanding of the limited oil market growth and the importance of maintaining the economy's unique nature and growth rate, the government has taken financial and regulatory actions for the purpose establishing of the Angolan capital markets.

Novação, an innovator in global finance, serves the financial needs of corporations, governments, institutional clients, and high net worth individuals in Angola. Founded in 2007, and using our networks, experience and understanding of the Angolan capital markets potential, we at Novação, decided to be the second official company to apply for an Investment House license in Angola.
With our gradual development, we strive to take leadership positions in the equity, trading, research, investment banking, investment management and private equity activities in Angola. The Firm is headquartered in Luanda Angola, and operates via our strategic partners' network of clients around the world.

Established in 1994 by Dr. Jose Vieira, Safra is an Angolan holding company which operates in various sectors in the Angolan and international markets, including: trading, food distribution, shipping lines and logistics, mining and wood exploration.

An Angolan privately held company, fully owned by the Vieira Family.
